The Middle East is an area where automobile is king and fuel is cheap, often leaving little reward to find more environmentally-friendly methods of moving.

But this year, as protests throughout the Middle East have risen the price of oil, the concern of discovering alternative sources of fuel has entered sharp focus.

In an area that has among the highest carbon footprints in the world, one organization is benefiting from the growing pressure to find options to oil. It's set up the Middle East's first scheme to oil into biodiesel. It's showing lucrative too, already their client-list consists of McDonald's.
